How to Better Self-Love – Pt. 3

This is the place where we’ll dive in deeper and explore different areas of life to help you discover how you can learn to better self-love.

Go ahead and close your eyes for 5-10 seconds and think about the best trip you’ve ever taken. Did you get a vision of what made that trip so memorable? Did you do the same thing each and every day? Or did you do something different each day? Did you discover a new favorite food? Did you splurge on a gift? Did you do something you never thought you would do?

My guess is that you did new things, discovered new favorites and enjoyed new adventures that helped you get a new view of who you are. And just as memorable and adventure-filled that trip was, love and relationships can have the same impact on your awareness and expansion if you allow it to happen.

Relationship Insight #3 – Love Is an Adventure Filled With Excitement and an Expectation of Expansion

Sure, bliss is nice, but you can’t achieve greater awareness without expansion and exploration. Love isn’t just about living in this constant state of bliss. You don’t want to be that couple in a relationship who’s just sitting back and have every day be the same thing. Day in and day out, it’d bet the same routine.

Love is an adventure where you’re constantly exploring new ideas and new ways of being. It’s about supporting your partner and experiencing new and exciting things. Love is constantly changing. When it’s about change, you’ll realize it’s also about accepting. Accepting your partner for who he/she is and accepting yourself for who you are. It comes back to the idea of self-love.

Being in a state of love never has to do with the other person. It’s about you being aligned with your highest values, remembering what you’re about and fully living in the experience. If you’re fully engaged, you’re more aware and more present in the relationship. If you decide relationships will be easy, then they will be. There will be contrast and there will be work to do, but you have the power to make the adventure enjoyable and exciting.

  1. What about my sins? I believe Jesus has paid for my sins by dying on the cross.
Most churches preach and teach people can’t have a relationship with God outside of Jesus.
I know God is Love and he created everyone.
I believe I need Jesus for my salvation. But I also question what about others who are not in the Christian world? I believe God loves them too.
There are so many thoughts and teachings coming up everyday. I just want to have relationship with God that is true and pleasing to Him.

    • I think you are coming into a place where your inner soul says wait a minute something is not right here. My perspective is this no one knows what is right for you right for you but you. There is an essence call it God that is not only within you but is you. Jesus said to go within, I come here so you can have life more abundantly, It is not I but the father within me, this I do and you can do and more, and it is done unto you as you believe. With these clear statements, Jesus outlined everything we need to know about living our life. It is time for you to discern how you want to live your life and trust the power within you to guide and direct you. Stop caring what others think. They have their journey and you have yours. Trust that the power within you knows the perfect way for you.

      In love,

      Rev. Lee
